Envisat Proves A Useful Tool For Analyzing Hurricanes

The European Space Agency's (ESA's) Envisat Earth observing satellite helped scientists analyze hurricane Frances as it approached Florida. Using multiple sensors, Envisat provided all kinds of critical information about Frances, such as cloud structure, wind data, sea height anomalies, sea surface temperature, and more.
